The short answer

upcoach charges a fee on what you invoice, on top of the subscription. It is 2 % on its 49 USD plan and falls to 0 %, but reaching 0 % means paying 399 USD a month. CoachPro Tools costs 30 USD and takes nothing: the money goes straight to your Stripe.

The fee that shrinks

40 USD a month on top of the subscription. Nearly doubles it.

Nothing. It is the only plan with no fee.
CoachPro Tools

0 %
Nothing, on every plan. Standard Stripe accounts with direct charges: the money never passes through us.
The more you invoice, the more it weighs. A coach invoicing 5,000 USD a month on the Starter plan pays them 100 USD in fees, on top of the 49 subscription. The 2,000 figure is an example to show the mechanism, not a claim about your business.

upcoach details checked on their pricing page on 2 September 2026. The prices shown are for annual billing. The fee and the participant cap are the two rows worth confirming before you pay, because they are the ones that change the sum.

Where upcoach wins

What no figure in the table explains

The fee is not small print: it is a different way of charging you. A flat subscription is a fixed cost you can budget. A percentage is a cost that grows exactly when things are going well.

And there is a second difference. upcoach is built around programmes and groups, which is why it counts active participants. CoachPro Tools is built around the session, which is why what it brings inside are the 271 tools — Wheel of Life, GROW, personal SWOT, DISC and 267 more — that your client fills in on screen while you talk.

One charges by how many people pass through your programmes. The other charges a fee and stops there. At low volume the difference is small; at high volume it is the whole bill.

Verdict

If you sell programmes to groups and work with video, upcoach is built for that: participants, seats, large storage and an onboarding call to set it up. And with 14 days and no card you can check it without risk.

Before deciding, do one multiplication. Take what you invoice in a month and multiply it by your plan's percentage. That figure is added to the subscription, and it does not appear on the pricing table.

And if you work one to one, look at the 25 active participant cap on the entry plan and compare it with our 30 USD, with no cap and no percentage.

Frequently asked questions

Does upcoach charge a commission?

Yes. 2 % on the Starter plan at 49 USD, 1 % on Pro at 99, 0.5 % on Business+ at 199 and 0 % on Scale at 399. It is a transaction fee, added to the subscription.

CoachPro Tools charges none: we use standard Stripe accounts with direct charges, you are the merchant and the money never passes through us.

How much does upcoach cost?

Starter 49 USD a month with 25 active participants, Pro 99 with 100, Business+ 199 with 250 — extendable in blocks of 100 for 99 USD — Scale 399 with 500, and Enterprise custom priced. Those are the annual billing prices.

What is an active participant?

The unit their per-plan cap counts in. The 49 USD plan allows 25 at a time. CoachPro Tools has no counter: we searched the code and there is no client limit at all.

What are the interactive tools?

Instruments the client fills in on screen during the session — Wheel of Life, GROW, personal SWOT, DISC and 267 more — with sliders and charts drawn live. When you finish they produce a PDF report carrying your brand that your client keeps.

Is it worth switching if I already use upcoach?

It depends on two numbers: what you invoice and which plan you are on. Multiply the first by the percentage of the second, add the subscription and compare with 30 USD. If you also use their team seats or their video storage, that weighs in their favour.
