Prepare your capture

Check context and existing contents.

01

Open Quick Capture

Open In session → Quick Capture and locate the input, types and capture list.

Open Quick Capture
02

Check context before writing

Check the working person in the top bar. This tool retains one shared local list: changing clients does not create an independent list. Include sufficient context in the text and review previous entries.

Check context before writing
If no client is assigned

You can capture a general idea. To work with a person, select their record through Assign client and check the name; that selection does not reassign previous captures.

02

Capture and classify

Write, choose a type and check the result.

03

Write and save a note

Type in the field and press Enter. The entry appears in the list; check its text and type. If you did not choose another type, it saves as Note.

Write and save a note
If Enter does not create an entry

Check that there is text rather than just spaces. If the type menu is open, Enter first chooses the type; then write the contents and press it again.

04

Choose the type before writing

Type / at the start of the field and choose Note, Task, Idea, Quote, Question or Reminder. Use the arrow keys and Enter, or select an option with the pointer.

Choose the type before writing
05

Check the selected type

After choosing a type, the field indicates what you will write. Type the contents and press Enter. Saving resets the type to Note: choose Task or another type again for your next entry if needed.

06

Distinguish an entry from a notification

Reminder classifies text so you can find it later. It does not schedule alerts or choose a sending date. If you need an alert, use the Reminders module and configure its details there.

03

Review and export

Filter, complete tasks and retain the collection.

07

Review recent captures

The list shows the newest contents first. Check the text, tag and date. Type counts summarise the whole list.

08

Filter to find a type

Select a type icon above the list. Filtering changes what you see without deleting other entries. Select All to review the collection.

Filter to find a type
If the filter is empty

Return to All and check the entry’s tag. A capture may have saved under another type.

If the filter is empty
09

Mark a task complete

Check a Task’s box. Its text becomes struck through and the state saves. Uncheck it to make it pending again; checking does not delete the entry or create an action in another module.

10

Recover local work

When returning, use the same browser and language. Spanish and English retain separate lists. Do not assume the contents will be on another device or in the client’s space.

11

Export and review the CSV file

Select Export CSV and review the downloaded file. It includes all captures even when you are viewing a filter, with type, text, completed state and date. Downloading does not send the file.

Export and review the CSV file
If there are no captures yet

An empty file is not generated. Save an entry first and export again.

04

Correct and clear

Retain before deleting.

12

Correct an entry while retaining its contents

There is no field to edit or reclassify a saved capture. Create a new entry with the correct text and type, check that it appears and then delete the old entry with ×.

Correct an entry while retaining its contents
Before selecting ×

The entry is deleted immediately, without confirmation or a built-in Undo. Retain its text or an export before deleting it.

Before selecting ×
13

Remove completed tasks

Select Clear completed and read the message. Accepting deletes checked tasks from the whole list, including tasks hidden by a filter. Pending tasks and other types remain.

Remove completed tasks
If no tasks are checked

Nothing to clear appears and contents are not deleted. Check the boxes before repeating.

If no tasks are checked

Check the result

Captures remain in this browser and language. They are not published automatically or converted into tasks or reminders in other modules.
