Check where you are writing.
Open In session → Live notes from the dashboard. Locate the tool’s client selector, title, editor and saved-notes list.
Choose the person in the Notes bar selector. This selector determines the local notes list; check its value even if someone is already assigned in the common top bar.
General notes lets you write without associating the note with a record. To work with a person, select them before writing; changing the selector does not automatically move general notes to their record.
Review the selected person’s Saved notes list. Select a title to open an earlier note or use New to start another. Check the open title before writing.
Return to Clients and check their record in the list. Return to the editor and reload the page to refresh the available list. Retain any text in progress first.
Before selecting New, wait for Saved on the current note. New opens an empty editor for the same client; it does not move or merge the previous note’s contents.
Use the top field to identify the topic and session. Then write in the note body. A clear title helps find it without opening several similar notes.
Use structure and formatting without losing content.
Open Templates and review GROW, Check-in, Closing or Free reflection. Select the structure you need and replace example text with what happened in the session.
Applying a template can replace the current body. Read the confirmation; cancel to retain it or create a new note after checking its saving status.
Click in the editor and record the work, agreements and context you need. Check which text is yours and which part is still a template prompt.
Select text and use bold, italic, underline, highlight or size in the bar. Review the result in the editor before continuing to write.
In the body, type / to open the blocks menu. Find a block by typing part of its name or use arrow keys to browse; Enter selects and Escape closes the menu.
Check that you are typing in the body rather than the title. Try / with no additional text on a new line and choose an available block.
Insert Checklist from the bar or menu and write the action beside its box. Tick or untick to record status. This belongs to the note and does not itself create an action in the client record.
Use headings, lists, quote, Callout or divider to organise text. The menu also allows the date or date and time to be inserted. Review pasted contents before retaining or sharing them.
Check saving before changing notes.
After typing, wait for Saving to change to Saved. Do this before opening another note, selecting New, changing clients or leaving. Unshared notes remain in this browser.
The Spanish and English versions retain separate local data. Return to the language you worked in to recover those contents.
Select the client and open the note from their list. Check its title and contents. Do not assume local notes will be present in another browser or device.
Return to that selection and retain the contents. Choose the correct client and create a note with the relevant text; changing the selector does not move saved notes.
Confirm publication and review updates.
With the client selected and the note open, review the full text. Select Share with client and read the confirmation: that note will appear in their space. This action does not publish the other notes.
Write the contents you want to share and wait for saving before publishing. An empty-note message is not a delivery confirmation.
Accept the confirmation and wait for the result. Check that the button changes to Stop sharing and the Shared mark appears in the list. Also review the note in Client space.
Check that you are signed in and connected. Retain the local note, retry and check Shared status. Local saving does not confirm publication.
While shared, saved edits attempt to update its contents in the client’s space. Review what you write and check the update there if connection has failed. The Saved indicator belongs to local saving.
Select Stop sharing and read the confirmation. Accept, wait for the result and check that Share with client returns. The note remains in your local list.
Review contents before sharing a file.
Select PDF and review the resulting file: title, text, checkboxes and pages. If a print dialog opens, use its save-as-PDF option. Exporting does not publish the note or send the file.
In Saved notes, select Delete on the correct card and read the confirmation. Retain a copy before accepting. If it was shared, also check that it is no longer shown in the client’s space.
Saved indicates local editor saving. A shared note also needs a connection to the client’s space; check what contents are visible there.
