01

Prepare the map

Select the person and review recovered contents.

01

Open Mind Map

Open In session → Mind Map from the dashboard. Locate the client selector, canvas and toolbar controls.

Open Mind Map
02

Select the person in the map

Choose the client in this tool’s selector. This selector retrieves their map; the client in the top bar does not replace this selection or move contents between people.

Select the person in the map
If the client is not available yet

Check their record in Clients, return to the tool and reload to refresh the list. You can explore in General maps; those contents are not assigned automatically when you later choose a person.

03

Review the recovered map

Check branches before writing. If only the central node appears, check the client, browser and language. Maps are retained locally per client; Spanish and English have separate data.

04

Choose a starting structure

Open Templates. Choose Wheel of Life, GROW Model, Personal values, Goal + Subgoals or Empty map for the structure you need. Empty map retains only the central node.

Choose a starting structure
If you have already developed the map

The template replaces the current map. Export anything you need to retain first and read the confirmation. Cancel keeps the map; reopening after accepting does not recover the previous version.

02

Build the branches

Name, connect and present ideas.

05

Name the central topic

Double-click the central node. Type the topic and press Enter to retain it; Escape cancels the text change. Leaving the field also commits its text.

If one click does not let you type

One click selects the node. Double-click to open the field or select the node and press Enter.

06

Add a branch to the selected node

Select the node the branch should come from. Use its + button or the + key. A child node is created and its field opens: type an idea and press Enter.

07

Develop a branch with supporting ideas

Select a branch and add a child from it. Check the connecting line to ensure the idea belongs to the correct node. Adding from the centre creates another main branch.

08

Choose the node shape

While editing the node, use the shape selector. Review how its text looks and confirm with Enter. The shape saves when chosen: Escape cancels edited text but does not reverse a shape you already changed.

09

Move nodes to improve readability

Drag a node to the desired position and release. It stays connected to the same parent; moving it does not change its branch membership. Check that it does not obscure other texts.

03

Review and retain

Adjust the view and download a copy.

10

Rearrange the layout

Select Rearrange to distribute branches around the centre. Texts and connections remain, but your manually adjusted positions are replaced. Review the result before exporting.

11

Adjust the canvas view

Use + and − in the canvas corner to zoom in or out. Drag from an empty area to pan. The centre control resets the view without deleting nodes or changing their texts.

12

Check local saving

Check Saved after editing or moving. When you return, select the same client in the same browser and language. Export a copy to take your work to another device.

13

Download and review the map

Select PNG and open the downloaded image. Check texts, branches and shapes. Downloading does not send the file: share it afterwards through your chosen channel.

If the file does not appear

Check browser downloads and wait before repeating. Keep the map open while checking the result.

04

Remove what you no longer need

Check the consequences before deleting.

14

Review a branch before deleting it

Select the node and press Delete or Backspace outside the editing field. The node and all descendants are deleted without an additional confirmation. Export first if you need to retain them.

If you deleted a branch by mistake

Deletion saves immediately and the map has no built-in Undo. Closing and reopening does not recover the branch. Consult an image you previously exported to rebuild it.

15

Distinguish the centre from a branch

The central node cannot be deleted with Delete. To change the topic, edit its text; to start another map, retain the old one and use Empty map or Clear map.

16

Confirm before clearing the map

Select the clear button and read the message. Accepting replaces the selected client’s map with a central node without branches and saves the change. Cancel retains the contents.

Check the result

Review the tool’s client selector, texts and downloaded image. Local saving does not publish the map in the client’s space.
