Prepare screen and sound

Check what will appear and configure the recorder.

01

Open Screen recording

Open Screen recording from the dashboard sidebar. Keep the new tab open while preparing and recording; you will also find the result there.

Open Screen recording
If you are on a phone or unsupported browser

The page shows a message. Use desktop Chrome or Edge to record the screen. For an audio-only recording, consult the Audio recording chapter.

02

Prepare what you will show

Open the tool or document and check names, notifications and visible contents. If other people participate, agree recording with them before starting. The video is not linked automatically to a client record.

Prepare what you will show
03

Enable the camera if you will use it

Select Enable camera and grant the permissions requested by the browser. Check the preview. You can record without a camera; in that case there is no bubble and this option does not automatically capture your microphone.

Enable the camera if you will use it
If permission is denied

Read the message and review the site’s camera and microphone permissions in the browser. Select Enable camera again and check the preview before recording.

04

Choose the circle size

Select Small, Medium or Large. This is the camera size in the final video. Choose before starting and check that it will not obscure the contents you want to explain.

05

Check which sound you will record

On and Muted control the camera microphone audio. If the browser shares tab or screen sound, that audio can remain in the video even when you mute the microphone. Check both before starting.

Check which sound you will record
If you need narration and there is no sound

Check that you enabled the camera with microphone permission and that the control is On. Make a short recording and listen to it; seeing the camera does not confirm that sound was recorded.

06

Choose the camera corner

Use the Position in the video controls to choose a corner. The position defines where the circle appears in the file; moving a floating window does not change that corner in the video.

Choose the camera corner
02

Record and stop

Choose the source and control recording.

07

Choose the screen you will share

Select Start recording. In the browser dialog, choose the available tab, window or screen you need and confirm. Also check whether its sound will be shared. That dialog belongs to the browser and can vary.

Choose the screen you will share
If you cancel selection

Recording does not start and a message appears. Prepare the source and select Start recording again when ready.

08

Check that recording has started

Wait for Recording and the timer. Give your explanation in the source you selected. Do not close the recorder tab while working.

09

Locate the stop controls

With a camera, the browser may open a floating window with microphone and stop controls. Check the recorder message: if it uses simple mode or cannot float, return to this tab to control and stop.

Locate the stop controls
If you record without a camera

There is no floating bubble. Return to the recorder tab and select Stop recording.

10

Stop recording when finished

Select Stop recording in the available control. Ending screen sharing through the browser also ends recording. Wait for Your recording before closing or repeating.

Stop recording when finished
03

Review and retain the video

Download before closing or recording again.

11

Play and review the result

Play the video under Your recording. Check the image, the parts you wanted to show and the sound. If there is a camera, check that its circle does not obscure important contents.

Play and review the result
12

Download the file before closing

Select Download video. A WebM file downloads to your computer; open the download and check playback. Stopping recording does not download the file automatically.

Download the file before closing
If you cannot find the video

Check browser downloads and select Download video again if needed. Keep the tab open until you have retained the copy.

13

Share the copy you reviewed

Send the file through your chosen channel after downloading. The recorder does not upload it, create a public link or publish it automatically in the client’s space or a recap.

Share the copy you reviewed
14

Prepare another recording

Retain the previous file first and select Record another. Review camera, microphone, position and source again. A new recording replaces the result shown in this tab; do not use the tab as permanent storage.

15

Return to the dashboard when finished

After downloading and reviewing the file, use Back to dashboard. To stop the camera, toggle Camera active before leaving or close the tab.

Check the result

Download the video and check image, sound and duration before closing the tab. The recorder does not publish or send the file automatically.
