01

Prepare the microphone

Check the device and context.

01

Open Audio recording

Open Audio recording from the dashboard. Keep its tab open while recording. Check who the session belongs to; this screen does not assign audio to a client itself.

Open Audio recording
02

Choose the microphone

Select the device under Microphone before starting. If you connect another device, reload before recording to refresh the list.

Choose the microphone
If only a generic name appears

Without permission the browser may show a generic name. Check the signal and result after granting permission.

03

Prepare the session

Agree recording with participants and position the microphone appropriately. Download any previous recording you need to retain before starting another.

Record and review

Check the signal, pauses and result.

04

Start recording

Select Start recording and grant microphone access. Check Recording and the timer. Do not close or reload the tab while recording.

Start recording
If microphone access fails

Read the message, check the device and site permissions in the browser and retry. Do not assume recording took place if the recording state does not appear.

05

Check the signal while speaking

Speak briefly and watch the meter. If No signal remains, check the device and whether it is muted. To check sound, stop a short test and listen to it.

06

Pause and resume if needed

Select Pause to interrupt capture without finishing the file. Check Paused and use Resume to continue; audio is not added during the pause.

07

Stop and wait for the result

Select Stop. Wait for Your recording, duration, size and player. The microphone is released when finished; you still need to retain the file.

08

Listen to the recording

Play the audio and check that the required contents can be heard. For Recaps, prepare a file up to 75 minutes and 200 MB. The recorder’s duration message does not replace this check.

03

Retain and take to Recaps

Distinguish downloading from preparing processing.

09

Download a copy

Select Download and check the file in browser downloads. Open the copy and verify sound before closing, starting another recording or loading it into Recaps.

Download a copy
10

Prepare audio for Recaps

Select Use for recap and wait for the saved message. It retains the latest recording in this browser so Recaps can load it. This step does not upload it or generate a draft.

Prepare audio for Recaps
If saving is not confirmed

Keep the tab open and download the file. You can choose that copy through Upload audio in Recaps if local saving fails.

11

Load the latest recording in the dashboard

Return to the dashboard in the same browser and open Recaps. Select the client and session, choose Upload audio and use Use latest recording. Check the file: there is one pending copy and it has no assigned client.

Load the latest recording in the dashboard
12

Prepare another recording

After retaining the copy, select Record another. A new take replaces the current result. Selecting Use for recap again also replaces the pending local copy.

Prepare another recording

Check the result

Download and listen to a copy before closing or repeating. Use for recap prepares local audio; it does not generate or approve a summary.
